Casa Verde sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms with two bathrooms, situated in Tuscany between the Renaissance cities of Florence and Pisa. Spacious and comfortable with panoramic views over Tuscan landscapes. There is a terrace with garden furniture suitable for dining, reading and sun bathing. A swimming pool is only 10 minutes drive away. Casa Verde is at Vellano, a hillside village sitting grandly in the high narrow wooded valley above the town of Pescia (near Lucca) in the Pistoia region of Tuscany. The house has green shutters can be seen as you approach the village from the road below, sitting aloof among the chestnut trees of the mighty hillside above you. It looks lovely from there. The house has an old fashioned charm with many old stone and wood features, echoing two centuries of habitation and family life. The house has a fantastic view of Vellano, the valley below and on to Pescia. It is large, square and proud building among the chestnut, olive and fig trees. The terraces rise above its old garden where we grow many types of fruit and vegetables for our guests. Visit the compact and delightful town of Lucca, the white majesty of Pisa and the magnetism of historic Florence nearby. Visit us and discover a quiet, gentle and friendly part of Tuscany close to all the glorious attractions of the Renaissance.

From Pisa Airport: From the car hire lot you turn right at the roundabout and go underneath the main road then turn left onto the road driving west signed Livorno/Genova. Drive west for approx. 3 km. Look for signs and the toll booth for Autostrada A12 Nord for Genova/Viareggio therefore turning right. Carry on for 10 km northwards on the A12 towards the next junction. This is the A11 eastwards signed for Florence/Lucca. (Please take care not to take any signs here back towards Pisa). Carry on along this road for approx. 28km past Lucca on your left. Look for the 3rd exit after Lucca Est called Chiesina Uzzanese. Turn off here and follow signs for Pescia. Carry on along the Via Romana northwards through a few villages for 5 Km. You are now entering Pescia town centre with the river on your right. Carry on due north straight ahead through the town still keeping the river on your right. Follow the road with signs to Vellano. Immediately you will see a small car park on your left and a road up to your right. Turn up here and then turn right at the top of the playground and drive for a short way and you will see a driveway. You will see the house and parking area shortly. From Florence: If coming from Florence then you take the A11 westwards to the same Chiesina junction. From Genoa: Again you look for the A11 turn at Viareggio from the North.

Casa Verde is accessible from Pisa & Florence airports then by car or train. We can collect you, by arrangement, from Pescia railway station free of charge.

The nearest railway station is Pescia and there are hourly trains from Pisa Airport Railway Station to Pescia. Hourly trains can also be taken from Florence to Pescia. We can collect you, by arrangement, from Pescia railway station free of charge.
